You are unlikely to find a cleaner, more practical or better value A-class American RV than this. It is a genuine 2007 Winnebago® Sightseer 29R on a Ford chassis that I am reluctantly selling for health reasons. The Ford 6.8L Triton V10 engine is powerful & with the 5-speed automatic gearbox super-smooth. With left-hand drive & all the driver aids American drivers expect, it is well suited for cruising continental highways & high ground clearance makes light work of the more rustic camping spots. A Camos combined tilting reversing camera & satnav monitor is mounted on the dash, along with a reversing sensor. When parked up, it has all the space & equipment needed to be comfortable in any conditions, with self levelling jacks, full WindBlocker® awning room & favoured layout with sofa & dinette opposite each other. As well as the features already listed it has full 240v electrics & a 4 kw generator. The roof air conditioner can also act as a heater & the 3-way 6 US gal. water heater works from gas, mains electric & engine heat. The blown air central heating is fuelled by propane (autogas) from a large fixed tank. The automatic satellite dish & digital satellite receiver easily pick up British TV as far south as Limoges & the 23" HD LCD main TV has a link to the dash radio for full stereo sound. A 2nd auxiliary input also lets you play music from your own computer, iPod etc. A digital photo frame in the dash facia can give you ever-changing pictures of your loved-ones. The L-shaped kitchen area is equipped with gas hob & oven, a microwave/convector cooker, double sink, good storage, under-counter water filter & a large fridge with separate freezer section. The large shower & separate washroom/WC are linked to a 75 US gal. (284L) fresh water tank & 45 US gal. (170L) grey & black waste tanks. In the bedroom a slide-out gives space for a 3-door wardrobe with drawers beneath them, a double bed with top quality replacement mattress, a drop-down LCD TV & a digital satellite receiver that can be tuned to different channels from the main TV. We have replaced the flimsy concertina screen with a custom-made sliding aluminium/PVC door for extra privacy & peace. During the time we have owned it, we have added many small extras & we have used covers over most of the carpets & furniture. It has been overwintered each year in the secure, dry store where it currently stands. Registered as a private HGV, the road tax is currently £165 pa. Gross Vehicle Mass is 7,500 kg, so it is the largest RV that can be driven on a C1 licence. With a C1+E licence (standard car licence if you passed your test before 1997) a run-about car can be towed as well. An electrolytic rust inhibitor system, underseal & rodent repeller were installed immediately after our purchase but for details about these & other hidden oily parts, there is no point talking to me. You would get more sense from the mechanics at LAS Motorhomes at Roade, Northants, who have tended it for the last 5 years.
